BOAT FRAME WINDSHIELD

(We also have a step by step version in french and english in PDF form, please contact us)
To manufacture a framed windshield, we need the original, undamaged, frame and rubbers (If you do not have the original rubber, we will replace with ours).

Before removing your frame, we require that you provide us the angle between the side and top bar. You will need to trace it on a piece of cardboard/paper and ship it with the frame.

To take off the framing, you will need a No. 2 and/or No. 3 phillips head screwdriver

Look at the bottom part of the frame, there should be a rubber strip to peel off to expose the screws to be removed.

Unscrew by turning counter-clockwise.

Remove the frame off the boat and peel off the inside rubber off the frame that held the old window in place.

Unscrew the corner screws from the frame to dismount.

Clean the pieces and gaskets off any remaining glass left into ridges and cavities.

Protect the current unbroken windows (if any) with plywood or rigid material on both sides.

Enroll the frame into bubble wrap.

Finish wrapping the frame into cardboard or secure it on a small pallet.

To reduce the cost of shipping, contact us with the size of the package (or pallet) with the origin address and phone number.  We will send you a prepaid tag for the freight forwarder to ship (we have rebates with shipping companies). Or ship us all the dismantled frame parts, gaskets and screws by the carrier of your choice to our office to:
